Angelina's Daughter Vibenne Debuts With Mom In Maleficent

Angelina's daughter Vivienne debuts with mom in Maleficent
There was a special diva on the sets of Disney’s Maleficent. No, we’re not talking about the Academy Award-winner Angelina Jolie, but her four-year-old daughter Vivienne , who makes her acting debut with the film. Angelina, who plays the iconic villain from the classic, Sleeping Beauty, in Maleficent, describes how her kids and husband Brad Pitt encouraged Vivienne on the sets, saying, "So, Brad and I, and her brothers and sisters, were all there, and I had to get the pole with the blue stick on the end that was the butterfly and I had to kind of dance in front of her. And then Brad had to be on the edge of the cliff that she was going to jump off of, and her brothers and sisters were trying to encourage her. But she made us work for it. We worked hard that day." Angelina adds, "(A unit member from) Disney said it was the funniest shoots they’ve ever seen." Disney India releases Maleficent in India on May 30 (today), the same day it hits the screens in USA.

MOVIE REVIEW- MALEFICENT(starring-angelina Jolie)

Movie review:- just for Angelina Jolie, Maleficent is a must-watch
Film: Maleficent Direction: Robert Stromberg Actors: Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning It's an auspicious match-up between actress and role. Returning to the big screen after a hiatus of four years, Angelina Jolie is bewitching as the titular mistress of evil in this live-action update of Walt Disney's iconic Sleeping Beauty (1959). First-time director Robert Stromberg, a former production designer with back-to-back Oscars (Avatar, Alice In Wonderland) to his credit, melds eyeball-caressing visuals with storytelling skills. Right away, we are transported to a forest kingdom brimming with magical folk both beastly and benign. Told from the perspective of the misunderstood villain (Jolie), the narrative is recast as a tale of female empowerment. It seems that our anti-heroine is a tragic victim of circumstances. Driven by a desire to exact vengeance against the king (Sharlto Copley) who betrayed her trust, she casts a spell on his newborn daughter. In true fairytale tradition, though, the wronged woman has a change of heart and pitches her lot with the grown-up princess to ensure that peace returns to their kingdom. Imelda Staunton and Lesley Manville, British stalwarts familiar from the films of Mike Leigh, fetch up as the pint-sized pixies tasked with bringing up the young heir to the throne. Some of the more harrowing scenes might frighten young viewers. The bland use of 3D is a further deterrent. If ever a film didn't need the murky added dimension, this is the one. Sporting ruby-red lips, coloured contacts and swan-shaped horns, Angelina Jolie hasn't been as impressive since her Academy Award winning turn in Girl, Interrupted back in 1999. Just for her, Maleficent is a must-watch.

Board Exams Result Bring Happiness To Trafficking Victim

Board exam result brings happiness to trafficking victim Days after writing her class 10 board exams, 17- year-old Rashmi (name changed) was trafficked from a small village in Assam to Fatehabad in Haryana for forced marriage. For two months, she lived away from her family at a place where she was sexually assaulted and made to do household work. Rescued earlier this month, the girl was still in shock and unable to overcome the trauma. Last week however, her exam results brought cheers to her life as she passed with 51%. The survivor hailing from Barpeta in Assam belongs to a farmer family. “She is the eldest daughter of the family and is setting a very good example to her four younger brothers and sisters to work hard. She is an inspiration and proves that poverty cannot always hamper the growth of a family. Despite facing such a tough situation, she is ready to study further and has asked us to assist her,” said Rishi Kant, activist with Shakti Vahini NGO, which had rescued her. Despite having been traumatised, the girl is optimistic about her future. After having passed her board exams, she now aspires to continue with her higher secondary education. She hopes to one day become a teacher. “In India, social stigma is very much prevalent throughout all societies, her success is also contributed by her parents’ support who are willing to educate her further,” he added. “These success stories help strengthening government policies for extending their support to victims of human trafficking. These girls whom we call survivors are the real inspiration and strength for us in fighting human trafficking,” Rishi Kant further said. Rashmi was trafficked to Delhi two months back and was sold to a family in Haryana for Rs. 80,000. Before selling her to the family she was raped by the trafficker and his friends.

A VERY INSPIRATIONAL STORY MUST READ

VIRTUALY NO COMPETITION

While professional soccer is still struggling to find a firm foothold in the United States, in the 1970s the North American Soccer League marked the brave first attempt to introduce the game to American sports fans. While most teams had only limited success at best, one did manage to break through to genuine mainstream popularity - the New York Cosmos.
It was the brainchild of Steve Ross, a passionate soccer fan who was also a major executive at Warner Communications.
Max Ross told his son Steve: "In life there are those who work all day, those who dream all day, and those who spend an hour dreaming before setting to work to fulfil those dreams. Go into the third category because there's virtually no competition".

.
The Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students “How much do you think this glass weighs?”
.
’50gms!’….. ’100gms!’ …..’125 gms’ …the students answered.
.
“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is:
What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”…. .
‘Nothing’ …..the students said.
.
‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.
‘Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the student
.
You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”
“Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”
….. Ventured another student & all the students laughed
.
“Very good.
But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?” Asked the professor.
‘No’…. Was the answer.
“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?”
.
The students were puzzled.
“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.
“Put the glass down!” said one of the students
.
“Exactly!” said the professor.
Life’s problems are something like this.
.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.
.
It’s important to think of the challenges or problems in your life, But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to ‘PUT THEM DOWN’ at the end of every day before you go to sleep…
.
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!

inspirational short story with moral
An old man lived alone in an American town.
His only son was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son
Dear Son,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won’t be able to plant
my potato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be
digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren’t in prison.
Love,
Dad
Shortly, the old man received this telegram:
‘For Heaven’s sake, Dad,
don’t dig up the garden !! That’s where I buried the GUNS !!’
At 4 a.m. the next morning, a dozen FBI agents and local police officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any guns.
Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what had happened, and asked him what to do next.
His son’s reply was: ‘Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad. It’s the
best I could do for you, from here.’

HEART MELTING STORY

inspirational ,motivational ,children, mother, story A Woman was admitted in a hospital as she was suffering from Brain Tumor. Her son & relatives were around her. She died within a few Hours
Her son cried the whole day & became ill. He returned home the next day; & found a letter on the table besides his mothers bed. Surprisingly it also had a few tablets.
His hands trembled as he read the letter;
“TAKE THESE TABLETS DEAR;
I know you catch a cold easily after crying..LOVE MUM
No matter in what condition mothers are…they always care about their children
KINDLY RESPECT AND LOVE YOUR MOTHER

Don't hope...... decide

Don’t Hope,… Decide!

d right next to me to greet his family.
First he motioned to his youngest son (maybe six years old) as he laid down his bags. They gave each other a long, loving hug. As they separated enough to look in each other’s face, I heard the father say, “It’s so good to see you, son. I missed you so much!” His son smiled somewhat shyly, averted his eyes and replied softly, “Me, too, Dad!”
Then the man stood up, gazed in the eyes of his oldest son (maybe nine or ten) and while cupping his son’s face in his hands said, “You’re already quite the young man. I love youvery much, Zach!” They too hugged a most loving, tender hug.
While this was happening, a baby girl (perhaps one or one-and-a-half) was squirming excitedly in her mother’s arms, never once taking her little eyes off the wonderful sight of her returning father. The man said, “Hi, baby girl!” as he gently took the child from her mother. He quickly kissed her face all over and then held her close to his chest while rocking her from side to side. The little girl instantly relaxed and simply laid her head on his shoulder, motionless in pure contentment.
After several moments, he handed his daughter to his oldest son and declared, “I’ve saved the best for last!” and proceeded to give his wife the longest, most passionate kiss I ever remember seeing. He gazed into her eyes for several seconds and then silently mouthed. “I love you so much!” They stared at each other’s eyes, beaming big smiles at one another, while holding both hands.
For an instant they reminded me of newlyweds, but I knew by the age of their kids that they couldn’t possibly be. I puzzled about it for a moment then realized how totally engrossed I was in the wonderful display of unconditional love not more than an arm’s length away from me. I suddenly felt uncomfortable, as if I was invading something sacred, but was amazed to hear my own voice nervously ask, “Wow! How long have you two been married?
“Been together fourteen years total, married twelve of those.” he replied, without breaking his gaze from his lovely wife’s face. “Well then, how long have you been away?” I asked. The man finally turned and looked at me, still beaming his joyous smile. “Two whole days!”
Two days? I was stunned. By the intensity of the greeting, I had assumed he’d been gone for at least several weeks – if not months. I know my expression betrayed me.
I said almost offhandedly, hoping to end my intrusion with some semblance of grace (and to get back to searching for my friend), “I hope my marriage is still that passionate after twelve years!”
The man suddenly stopped smiling.
He looked me straight in the eye, and with forcefulness that burned right into my soul, he told me something that left me a different person. He told me, “Don’t hope, friend… decide!” Then he flashed me his wonderful smile again, shook my hand and said, “God bless!”

The story of a wood cutter

The story of a woodcutter

Once upon a time, a very strong woodcutter asked for a job in a timber merchant and he got it. The pay was really good and so was the work condition. For those reasons, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.

His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he supposed to work.
The first day, the woodcutter brought 18 trees.
“Congratulations,” the boss said. “Go on that way!”
Very motivated by the boss words, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he could only bring 15 trees. The third day he tried even harder, but he could only bring 10 trees. Day after day he was bringing less and less trees.
“I must be losing my strength”, the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.
“When was the last time you sharpened your axe?” the boss asked.
“Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees…”

Reflection:

Our lives are like that. We sometimes get so busy that we don’t take time to sharpen the “axe”. In today’s world, it seems that everyone is busier than ever, but less happy that ever.
Why is that? Could it be that we have forgotten how to stay “sharp”? There’s nothing wrong with activity and hard work. But we should not get so busy that we neglect the truly important things in life, like our personal life, taking time to get close to our Creator, giving more time for our family, taking time to read etc.
We all need time to relax, to think and meditate, to learn and grow. If we don’t take the time to sharpen the “axe”, we will become dull and lose our effectiveness.

The story of a blind girl

The story of a blind girl

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”
The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:
“Just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.
Life Is A Gift
Today before you think of saying an unkind word–
think of someone who can’t speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food–
think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife–
think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion.
Today before you complain about life
think of someone who went too early to heaven.
Before you complain about your children–
think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.
Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep–
think of the people who are living in the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive–
think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job
think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another–
remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down–
put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.
Life is a gift – Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

Acres of diamond

Acres of Diamond

There was a farmer in Africa who was happy
and content. He was happy because he was
content. He was content because he was
happy. One day a wise man came to him and
told him about the glory of diamonds and
the power that goes along with them. The
wise man said, "If you had a diamond the
size of your thumb, you could have your own
city. If you had a diamond the size of your
fist, you could probably own your own
country." And then he went away. That night
the farmer couldn't sleep. He was unhappy
and he was discontent. He was unhappy
because he was discontent and discontent
because he was unhappy. The next morning
he made arrangements to sell off his farm,
took care of his family and went in search of
diamonds. He looked all over Africa and
couldn't find any. He looked all through
Europe and couldn't find any. When he got to
Spain, he was emotionally, physically and
financially broke. He got so disheartened
that he threw himself into the Barcelona
River and committed suicide. Back home, the
person who had bought his farm was
watering the camels at a stream that ran
through the farm. Across the stream, the
rays of the morning sun hit a stone and
made it sparkle like a rainbow. He thought it
would look good on the mantle piece. He
picked up the stone and put it in the living
room. That afternoon the wise man came
and saw the stone sparkling. He asked, "Is
Hafiz back?" The new owner said, "No, why
do you ask?" The wise man said, "Because
that is a diamond. I recognize one when I see
one." The man said, no, that's just a stone I
picked up from the stream. Come, I'll show
you. There are many more." They went and
picked some samples and sent them for
analysis. Sure enough, the stones were
diamonds. They found that the farm was
indeed covered with acres and acres of
diamonds.
What is the moral of this story? There are five
morals:
1. When our attitude is right, we realize that we
are all walking on acres and acres of diamonds.
Opportunity is always under our feet. We don't
have to go anywhere. All we need to do is
recognize it.
2. The grass on the other side always looks
greener.
3. While we are dyeing the grass on the other
side, there are others who are dyeing the grass
on our side. They would be happy to trade
places with us.
4. When people don't know how to recognize
opportunity, they complain of noise when it
knocks.
5. The same opportunity never knocks twice. The
next one may be better or worse, but it is never
the same one.

EDUCATION DOES NOT MEANGOOD JUDGEMENT

EDUCATION DOES NOT MEAN
GOOD JUDGEMENT

There is a story about a man who sold hot
dogs by the roadside. He was illiterate, so
he never read newspapers . He was hard of
hearing, so he never listened to the radio.
His eyes were weak, so he never watched
television. But enthusiastically, he sold lots
of hot dogs. His sales and profit went up. He
ordered more meat and got himself a bigger
and a better stove. As his business was
growing, the son, who had recently
graduated from college, joined his father.
Then something strange happened. The son
asked, "Dad, aren't you aware of the great
recession that is coming our way?" The
father replied, "No, but tell me about it." The
son said, "The international situation is
terrible. The domestic is even worse. We
should be prepared for the coming bad time."
The man thought that since his son had been
to college, read the papers, and listened to
the radio, he ought to know and his advice
should not be taken lightly. So the next day,
the father cut down his order for the meat
and buns, took down the sign and was no
longer enthusiastic. Very soon, fewer and
fewer people bothered to stop at his hot dog
stand. And his sales started coming down
rapidly. The father said to his son, "Son, you
were right. We are in the middle of a
recession. I am glad you warned me ahead
of time."
What is the moral of the story?
1. Many times we confuse intelligence with
good judgment.
2. A person may have high intelligence but
poor judgment.
3. Choose your advisers carefully and use
your judgment.
4. A person can and will be successful with
or without formal education if they have the
5 Cs: character
commitment
conviction
courtesy
courage
5. The tragedy is that there are many
walking encyclopedias who are living
failures.

HOW I START MY DAY

The secret to changing life is to think about your mortality.
Think of the regrets youbwill have .
Once that clarity comes in your mind stari your day with a gratitude and positively
If you think you day will bad it will bad .
Try to change your habits with motivation and focus to create everday magic
When we wake up in the morrning, there os short period of time called the hypotonic state  anything you say to yourself will be heard by both parts of mind . Use this time to aet an afirmation and manifest magic into your life by an action , as simple as this. Try it.
I feel morning Is a time to raise your self - confidence that comes by changing your fixed attitude to life . Go with the life flow. Be easy.
There are some habits which you must adopt to be happy:
Wake up with a positive affirmation, be kind to yourselfand others; dont be judgemental; self love. Is important ; laugh a lot; tell someone you love them ; appericate every moment. Allow good thongs to happen to you..

The First story- importance of attitude

The First story – Importance of
Attitude
There was a man who made living selling
balloons at a fair. He had all colors of
balloons Including red, yellow, green.
Whenever business was slow, he would
release a helium filled balloons into the air
and when the children saw it go up, they all
wanted to buy one. They would come up to
him, buy a balloon and his sales would go up
again. He continues this process all day. One
day, he felt something tugging his jacket. He
turned around and saw a little boy who
asked,” If you release a black balloon, would
that also fly?” Moved by the boy’s concern,
the man replied with empathy.” Son, it is not
the Color of the balloon, it is what inside
that makes it go up.”
The same thing applies to our lives. It is what is
inside that counts. The thing inside of us that
makes is go up is our attitude.

RON MUECK - NO.1Sclupure artist of all time

★★★ Ron Mueck★★★
Ron Mueck is an Hyperrealist sculptor. He was
origionally born in Austrailia, but has spent many
years in Great Britain making his works world
wide known. I researched his background a bit
more, his parents were toy makers so as a child
he took part in the creation of puppets and
costumes, I personally think this has a slight part
to do with art, his pieces has a slight puppet look
to them? Or is it just me that thinks that. Mueck
has had no other art education, Mueck was able
to establish a career making models for film and
television including Labyrinth (which is one of my
most favourite films ever!)and puppets for
Sesame Street. He now works in London making
props for a production company.
Mueck has devoted himself full-time to his art
entierly, he formalluly said that he was interested
in photography, but he thought that photographs
were too flat/2D so he started creating life
looking sculptures. His pieces are always either
smaller than life-size or huge, I really like this, I
think it has more of a imaginary looking feel to it,
which I love. Mueck has used fiberglass to create
his sculptures and has started using silicone, a
more flexible material that is easier to shape.
Mueck eventually switched over to fine art ,
making pieces with his mother-in-law, Paula
Rego, (Who I love, her work is a huge inspiration
to me!) His piece which made his name well
known, was dead dad. I think this piece is
beautiful. Its a haunting cast of the corpse of
Mueck’s Father. Its about 2 times smaller than
the actual scale. The hair of the finished product
is actually Mueck’s. I think thats rather touching,
its like as if he wanted to be a part of his Father,
even though he wasnt around anymore, amazing.

Black holes

BLACK HOLE BASICS

Black holes are areas in space where there is a
huge amount of mass in a very small space. The
gravity of this mass is so great that everything in
the area is pulled toward the mass. Even light,
with its tiny mass, is pulled into the center of the
hole. No object can escape the gravitational pull
of a black hole.
Have we ever seen a black hole? No. Actually you
can't see a black hole because no light escapes
the event. Astronomers use other ways to look for
black holes. Since they have large masses and
gravities, they affect the surrounding stars and
systems. They have found evidence of black holes
in the dark centers of galaxies and systems that
emit large amounts of x-rays.

BLACK HOLE STRUCTURES

When stars start to die, they collapse. Eventually
they can create a white dwarf or a neutron star .
Very large stars can collapse and become almost
infinitely dense . Their gravity increases a
respective amount. As the gravity increases, you
can imagine that everything gets heavy. Nothing
could escape the star's gravity. Now imagine that
dead star with a gravity so strong that light can't
even escape. When light can't get out, you have a
black hole. The Sun is too small to become a
black hole. It takes large stars with even larger
masses to become a black hole.

◆CENTERS OF GALAXIES

We just mentioned that there might be black
holes at the center of galaxies. As astronomers
develop more advanced telescopes they have
been able to see large dark areas at the center of
many galaxies. The dark areas have masses that
can be several billion times the mass of our Sun.
They have determined the large mass by watching
the speed of the stars orbiting close to the center
and on the edges of the galaxy. Things move
faster when the gravity is stronger... Even a
system of stars and planets. It looks like a drain
in your bathtub. The physics are different, but
things go faster as they get closer to the drain.
Things go faster as they get closer to the black
hole.

Optics and light

Types of Light
To understand light you have to know that what
we call light is what is visible to us. Visible light
is the light that humans can see. Other animals
can see different types of light. Dogs can see only
shades of gray and some insects can see light
from the ultraviolet part of the spectrum. The key
thing to remember is that our light is what
scientists call visible light.
Scientists also call light electromagnetic
radiation . Visible light is only one small portion of
a family of waves called electromagnetic (EM)
radiation. The entire spectrum of these EM waves
includes radio waves , which have very long
wavelengths and both gamma rays and cosmic
rays, which are at the other end of the spectrum
and have very small wavelengths. Visible light is
near the middle of the spectrum.

●It's all Energy
The key thing to remember is that light and EM
radiation carry energy. The quantum theory
suggests that light consists of very small bundles
of energy/particles; it's just that simple.
Scientists call those small particles photons, and
the wavelength determines the energy and type of
EM radiation, and the number of photons tells you
how much radiation there is. A lot of photons
give a brighter, more intense type of light. Fewer
photons give a very dim and less intense light.
When you use the dimmer switch on the wall, you
are decreasing the number of photons sent from
the light bulb. The type of light is the same while
the amount has changed.

Different speed of light
As far as we know, all types of light move at one
speed when in a vacuum. The speed of light in a
vacuum is 299,792,458 meters per second. That
speed is really fast, but even when you're
traveling that fast, it takes a while to get places
in space. It takes about seven minutes for light
from the Sun to reach Earth. It takes over four
years for the light from our Sun to get to the
nearest star. It would take a particle of light over
100,000 years to get from one side of our galaxy
to the other side. All of those values are light
moving through a vacuum. You can slow light
down in other substances such as the
atmosphere, water, or a diamond. Light moves at
about 124,000,000 meters per second (less than
half the speed in a vacuum) in a diamond.

Modern physics

Where Traditional Physics Stops
We're about to move into the modern age of
physics. In the early 1800's, scientists began
examining the basis of matter, space, and time.
Sometimes it gets very confusing, but the big idea
is that Newton's physics describe about 90% of
the way things work in the universe ( mechanics ).
His ideas start to break down when you talk
about ideas such as objects moving at the speed
of light, the inside of atoms, extreme
temperatures, and when the objects are huge (like
galaxies interacting with each other).
Into the Atom
The original idea of atoms developed by Niels
Bohr showed a structure based on various shells
and a center area called the nucleus . The
electrons were found in those shells while the
protons and neutrons were found in the nucleus.
There are other ways to look at the structure of
atoms (you may have heard of "spdf"), but we're
going to stick with the classic view for many of
our discussions. This view of the structure of an
atom was one of the foundations for modern
physics.
Into the Universe
Albert Einstein also played a large part in modern
physics. He developed formulas that described the
way matter and energy were related. Just about
everyone has heard of the formula E=mc^2 . That
formula explains how energy is related to mass.
The idea found its way into the study of fission
reactions, and it was proved that enormous
amounts of energy were stored in even one atom
of a substance.
Current Studies
Even now, scientists are still testing the
boundaries of physics and the laws of physics.
Only a few years ago a new state of matter was
created. The Bose-Einstein condensate was
theorized decades ago, but scientists have only
recently been able to create it in a lab. Every day
astronomers are studying space and learning how
black holes and galaxies interact. Stephen
Hawking is one of the more famous scientists
working in that field. Our point is, there is still
much to discover.
